Once in the search engines you could quickly find your website in the first few pages for some of the more specific or longer search phrases and that will bring free traffic to your website. It is quite feasible to achieve this within a day or so.
A single run of bookmarking, without carrying out any other form of site promotion strategies, will keep visitors coming to your site for several months.
You can increase traffic by bookmarking regularly, adding other promotion strategies and regularly adding unique content to your website.
Bookmarking to a multitude of bookmarking websites is time consuming and boring. If you want to minimise this chore you have two choices, either automate or outsource. Below is a range of outsoucing tools designed to save your time. They each have their strengths and weaknesses so spend some time before you commit.
Automation of Social Bookmarking Submission
Bookmarking by hand is very time consuming espcially if you want to bookmark to hundreds of sites on a regular basis. Bookmarking sites are there for an indvidual to place their favourite links, they are not intended for marketers to regularly bookmark their sites as a way of getting them high on the search engines. If aggressive bookmarking is not carried out carefully then a “footprint” will be left behind and the account will probably get banned. There are a lot of software and scripts available
BookMarkGeneration - industrial strength bookmark submission tool, created by Howie Schwartz. This is definitely one for the professional SEO expert who is executing some heavy link generation work. Expensive at $77 a month.
BookMarkingDemon - This again is a professional’s tool and the one of my choice. Created by Edwin Brian it has a one of price of $147. BookMarkingDemon is very comprehensive and loaded with the bells and whistles needed for heavy bookmark link work.
BookMarkLobby - This is a service that will get you links, including deep linking within your site, with 100 social bookmarking sites. If you are after a service my preference is Social Maxiser below.
OnlyWire - Free or very low cost bookmarking tool
SocialBookmarksDemon - Downloadable software that submits to a large list of bookmarking sites. Retails at $169 but you can get this for $119 if you back away from the page.
SocialBookmarkingServices - a service submitting to 100 sites for $20 and 200 sites for $40. They also have a more sophisticated service for those wishing to submit on a regular basis. This services uses multiple titles etc. cost $100 for 100 submissions, this service reduces the chance of footprint detection.
SocialMarking2.0 - They have a free service but you will have to spend time opening accounts in each bookmarking website. The paid service is $25 for up to 240 bookmarking sites.
SocialMaximiser - This is my favourite service. They will submit your site or sites to up to 163 bookmarking sites over a period of time. I have used their directory submission service for a few years now. Costs are as low as $0.19 per submission.
SocialPoster - AFR submits to 160 social bookmarking sites at once. You can try before you buy, purchase cost is $160.
Social Submitter - A download program with a free trial service to give you the chance to get to grips with it before buying. Submits to up to 200 bookmarking sites and costs around $150
Submit2Please - A service that will build links to your site for a reasonable fee.
